Bmw Abs Module Coding



When you installed a repaired DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) module to enable cruise control, odometer etc function, the DSC light will illuminates. BMW INPA K+CAN software will read the fault code, but you need NCS-Expert software to get the module coded. Here is the detail instruction on coding E39 DSC module with NCS-expert.

BMW ICOM A2+B+C diagnostic system hardware
BMW ICOM NCS-Expert software (included in BMW ICOM software 2014.12 HDD)

Instruction:

Install DSC module
Well install NCS-Expert software and connect the BMW ICOM a2+b+c main unit with vehicle via OBD socket
After well loaded with software, click File >>Load Profile
Select “Expertmode”
Press “F1 VIN/ZCS/FA”
Select “F3 ZCS/FA f. ECU”
Select your BMW chassis type: E39
Select ECU type: IKE, press OK
Then NCS-Expert will display vehicle data/information, press “F3 ZCS/FA f. ECU” to continue.

The software will display all the modules are available to be coded below “get coded” icon.
Select “F4 Process ECU” to code a specific single module.
Then the system will display a list of all coding available modules. Select the module you want to code: DSC.
NCS-Expert software will display “DSC get coded” message. Click “F3 Execute job” button

DSC module coding is completed. DSC indicator light on dash turn off. No fault codes stored for DSC module.
Exit the BMW NCS-Expert coding software.
