O Amanaz foi um dos principais grupos de lá, considerado o Cream ou Jimi Hendrix Experience da Zâmbia. Formado em 1973 em Kitwe, no norte do país, lançaram apenas um álbum: Africa, em 1975.
Seu único registro traz um incrível 'caldeirão' de estilos, influenciado principalmente pelo rock psicodélico, ácido e pesado do ocidente, sem deixar de lado a música popular do país.
